Today when I went in I brought the kiddos gel window clingers to put on the window. I told them in order to be able to put them on the window they had to be sitting in their desk quietly. And I would call each students up by one to put them on the window. After that we did work time. I worked with Bella. She has been super tired lately so she didn’t want to keep her head up. We made her stand up in order to her through some work. After we did some work we let her play with Pkay dough.

Today was the first day back from break so the students were a little off topic. When I first got there they were still in quiet time. So I sat down and worked with Tyler for a little bit. We read over his “sh and ch” words. He did really well with the ch words but when he got to the sh words he pronounced them as “sh”. So I helped him with that. And then during work time I worked with Daniel. He works good for me. Although sometimes he gets discouraged when he doesn’t get the right answer. Sometimes I tell him that he needs to try harder in order to get his reward but other times I give it to him so he doesn’t forget whag he’s working for.

I went for a full day today since we were having friends giving. When we first got there we colored for awhile until everyone went to the bathroom. After that we did handwriting and I worked with Daniel. He got off topic super fast because gage was crying so I had to keep getting him back on topic. After that we ate our lunch with Mrs Burke’s class. It was all well until Abigail started crying because she couldn’t get more juice. Because she wasn’t eating her lunch. She cried the rest of her day. Then we had a short work time and I worked with Daniel again. And he worked super well. Then we watched thanksgiving Charlie Brown for the rest of the day

When I went in today I started working with Abby at quiet time because she’s been doing testing all week with Royer. We completed everything on her cards including her “knows” sign language. She is very smart when she tries. But sometimes she doesn’t try and it doesn’t get her a good score. Then at IEP work time I worked with Daniel. We tends to get off topic very quickly so I have to remind him that he is working to earn his reward and a star. Then he quickly gets back on topic

When I went in today they were doing quiet time. Autumn was looking at a magazine so I sat down and started to have a conversation with her about what she wanted for Christmas. She loves this thing called “LOL”. It’s some type of toy. She said she watches it on tv. Then I worked with Bella at quiet time. She doesn’t like to look at what she’s doing. So you have to try to Get her attention beofre she answers. When she does look at the table she gets evehrbint correct. She worked for LEGO’s and kit kata today

when I walked into the class they were doing rest time so I sat down with autumn and helped her start cutting. Then at 1:50 we had art. At art the teacher walked through step by step on how to draw a turkey. Everyone did super well with directions but Daniel did the best. He picks up on things so well. Part of me is wondering why he’s in this class. We drew the turkey and then we painted it. When we went back to class they started a craft with bats but I had to learn during the middle of it

Every Friday is a game day. So we had game day with Mrs Burke’s class today. In our room we had stuff the turkey, a puzzle and legos. In Burke’s room was a dance party. I was at the legos station. The students were entertained for the first couple minutes then they got kinda bored so Whitmer and I started to build random things to keep their attention. After fun day we had a quick rest time

The students were doing an enrichment actIvory when I got there. They were learning about the letter p. Royer has a piece of paper that has pictures on it with things that start with the letter p. And she gives a hint to a picture and the students have to find the picture.  Everyone did really well with that. They all were paying attention. I spent most of my time with Abby because Whitmer was with Bella. And Abby needs lots of help too. After enrichment I worked with autumn during rest time. We worked on handwriting. She traces letters of her name. And then she writes them.

When I first went to my placement yesterday they were finishing up a counseling lesson about what websites to go to online. At the end of the lesson they were showing students a live webcam of anainals at a zoo in California. After the lesson we started an enrichment activity. The students colored two bats because there learning about bats right now. And then after that they cut out some leaves they colored awhile ago. After the enrichment activity we started quiet time. I worked with autumn. She has come a long way since the beginning of the year. She learned how to count. How to write her name. And many more things

Today I found out that Lakotas parents enrolled him into cyber school. So he is no longer in our class.   During quiet time Mrs Royer asked if I could do spelling with Tyler. I grabbed his board and words and gave him for 1st and last letter and he had to find the vowel. Then after that I worked with Daniel at IEP work time. We went over everything on his card which includes counting shapes colors recognition of numbers   He wanted to work for corn bin. So everytime he did something well he got corn bin for 2 minutes. As soon as I was leaving they were starting a craft about bats

When I went to my placement yesterday we did a craft with numbers. Abigail needed a lot of help because she can’t count to 10 yet. So she was putting numbers in the wrong spot. After that we did quiet time. I worked with Tyler. We worked on counting by 5s and 10s to 100. After that we had art class. They worked on pairing their trees and leaves painting. Daniel did really well. But Abigail needed more help then him

When I got to the class it was rest time. So I just sat with autumn for 10 minutes and watched her cut until we were ready to move onto work time. During work time I worked with Daniel. He was absent for 2 days from being sick. So I didn’t do much work with him I just eased him into working. We got through everything on Bosnian cards except one thing. After that we moved onto craft. And we painted their paper bag pumpkins. Daniel finished before anyone else. So he just hung in there till everyone finished. After that they were getting ready to hand out another paper but I had to leave
